Martin Brady introduces the BFI's Fassbinder retrospective, illuminating the great auteur’s huge body of work (40 features in 14 years!) via the director’s performances in his own films. Supported by numerous clips, Brady will survey Fassbinder’s gangster movies, melodramas, social satires and queer dramas, and discuss the social, historical, political and artistic contexts from which they emerged.

Tickets: £6.50 and booking for this event via the BFI website from 14 March.
