From Monday 4 December-Wednesday 13 December 2017, the Goethe-Istitut & Close-Up are screening works by filmmakers Alexander Kluge, the duo Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet, Peter Nestler, Werner Schroeter, a student short by Wim Wenders, and Peter Handke. 

This programme will give UK audiences the chance to watch rarely shown films and to discover a rich and radically unique facet of West German cinema. 

The series is curated by David Perrin as part of his MA course in Film Studies, Programming and Curation at the National Film and Television School. 

A collaboration of the Goethe-Institut, the National Film and Television School and Close-Up Film Centre.
